Why is your website not giving you all the rights and highs?

Rule no 5

Multimedia content and it auto-plays?

Remember the time when you were at work and you log onto a site and there’s loud music out of nowhere and you are embarrassingly trying to figure out how to stop the music! Yes, we all have been there, done that. We wouldn’t have pressed the play button but are eagerly looking for the stop button or worst still back button on the screen.

What to do?

You would think that Facebook and Twitter are doing the same thing, but please note they’re always on mute unless users want to turn on the volume, and as the saying goes, Treat others, the way you want to be treated.Either let them choose when to play it or at least have it with the sound off.

Rule no 6

Disoriented obtrusive animation ?

A simple animated GIF or Video is better than flashy animations, autoplay videos, blinking and flashing paid advertisements and other interactive entertainment which may seem really cool to have on your site but if its gets too pushy and intrusive with the actual information, it may deviate the user’s attention.

What to do?

Keep any animations on your website simple which captures the reader’s eye without being too distracting.

Rule no 7

Your website is filled with generic cheesy stock photography

Using images is great for your inbound marketing so you choose some of the most interesting images GOOGLE has to offer; but do they represent your company’s image? Do they really portray the real company picture you are trying to portray with these images? Images would be best which help the visitors in clarifying the business and helping them extract positive information from the website.

What to do?

It is always best to showcase real business, product, company and brand images. We at Zweezle have an expert team of professional photographers who can help you with all kinds of indoor and outdoor business photography requirements. We help in bringing out the real picture of your organization and show real pictures of customers, employees, your company, your product, and your location.

Rule no 8

You have an “About us” page but does it really tell about you?

So you have an “About us” page featuring all the information pertaining to the company and what the company does and how it does. Is this information in a language understandable by the general audience? Or are the terms used too technical for the general audience and their understanding level?

What to do?

Make sure the language and technicalities are simple and easy to understand for the audience who is looking to get your services. The simple language which the visitor can relate to and how he would actually speak is far better than complex, technical jargons which are not relatable with the visitor.
